Go Shapo, go! I want to see him get some titles under his belt. His exciting, aggressive playing style is just what tennis needs right now. In a sea of baseline grinders with two-handed backhands, he offers something different. A beautiful player.
Respectful behaviour from Kecmanovic at the end. No celebration and showing empathy towards Nishioka👏
What a Performance put on by Kecmanovic!way to fight through the whole way. against home Fav Nishi! Hopefully he is on his way to his top form he reached earlier this year in Miami! IDEMOOO 🇷🇸
Glad to see Fritz doing well after his treatment at Wimbledon. Must have felt hard done.
Shapovalov looks a lot physically sturdier and stronger than he used to. At that age where he’s filling out into his frame.
It is weird how the draw is done, you have a couple of matchups in the 1st round where Qualifiers are playing each other while top 50 players are playing each other in the 1st round. I always like an easy 1st round where I can get used to the conditions. Dan Evans is glad he doesn’t have to play Nishioka in the 2nd round…
It’s curious to see Nishioka having this attitude, compared to the stratospheric level he put out in seoul.
There’s nothing quite like a Shapo backhand. He really is the player I want rising to the top. Love his style. Will we ever see that happen? Who knows!
That backhand of Shapo’s is a thing of beauty
I would love to see behind the scenes in Tokyo. Looks like such a cool stadium
Duckworth has all the skills, I feel he just lets anger cloud his judgement a bit. He was going for massive winners when he should have been patient.
Still love the nishioka energy despite the loss
Shapovalov was so close to making a deeper run and maybe winning AO 2022, and maybe should have won it if not for some unethical behavior.
Was rooting for Nishioka.
4:40 that backhand 😀
I just know that if djokovic had shapos body and talent, he would have had 40 grand slams by now. Such godly backhand and quickness and zero grand slam finals ffs
i swear steve johnson has a different forehand every time i see him on this channel
🇪🇸 GOATdal (Nadal) & 🇨🇭GOATderer (Federer) golden era of tennis & legend forever!!! Cheers!!! 👑💪🐐
Man, Steve Johnson has not had the success I expected him to. 🙁
Keep rolling 🇯🇵 ninja warrior keep rolling!!! Vamos warrior & Cheers to the rising sun!!! 🐐🇯🇵🥷
Grade: A+ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
1:42 that point really changed the momentum, from having 2 break points to not winning a game
Tough to have highlights on Shapo match as both were serving like monsters. Not a lot of rallys to speak of.
