Their interaction with the kids at the beginning made me laugh. It’s always a great match between these two, even tho Tsitsipas didn’t manage to win most of the time, he still plays against Novak.
Both Djokovic and Nadal are clear legends of the sport, but the last couple of matches clearly show the difference between the two. Djokovic excels on all surfaces year in, year out. Nadal does not. Can you name the last time Rafa has successfully won an indoor tournament? Compare that to Djokovic on his worse surface(clay), where he has won both the French Open and Rome in the last couple of years. This is why Djokovic has always been the superior player since 2011.
fan of Stef here🙌 i mean it’s crazy! Tsitsipas’s first serve and forehand was wonderful and saved him several times, but Djokovic’s rallies were even more invincible…can’t imagine how desperate it is standing in front of Djokovic…
I feel like Djokovic vs Tsitsipas is THE most underrated rivalry/matchup in tennis right now, because even tho Nole has won their last 9 encounters, most of them are all great battles, and this one was no exception, they seem to have a game style that bring the best out of each other, and I remember last year that Rome 2-day epic battle was one of the matches of the season and this channel forget to include in the top 5 best matches of the year, for some odd reason.
Great start for Nole and great level from Stef, even if the year-end Nº1 dream is over now…
This version of Djokovic against Alcaraz, Rune, Zverev, (maybe FAA, Sinner, Thiem) next year would be a treat at the slams.
