I think it’s a downright tragedy you didn’t show Fonseca’s first game win – I’m sure after the bagel the crowd went nuts that he got on the board!

Fonseca plays a solid game! He will develop a stronger tennis IQ in the oncoming years. Excited to see his progression!

I always think Jarry has what it takes to crush more opponents with his powerful stile! I think he is very underrated player!

Home town hero! That’s honestly great to see Montiero go so well. He always gives it everything but today was up a big step in level!

Thiem is such a nice guy.. graceful in defeat.. no wonder he is so respected and liked on tour!

Thiem seemed to play more aggressively than in the past few matches. Hopefully a sign of good things to come 🤞

It just boggles my mind that an injury can destroy someone’s total tennis IQ and game sense. I don’t know if we’ll ever see Dom in a prime state again but he’s not too far from fading away, that’s for sure.

Feel sorry for Thiem.
What a nice guy he is. Very kind handshake at the net.
He just accepts he can’t play better right now.

Brazil needs to promote Fonseca inmediately, with 16 years is an amazing talent, including this year he can explode.

Poor Dominic! Since he came back from injury, he is not the same player. I thought he was going to dominate tennis for a few years after his victory over Medvedev and Zverez at the US Open.

Thiem seems to be finding every opponent playing out of their skin at this moment in time.
He’s playing some good stuff, just the wrong side of the results at the moment.
I do think he’d benefit from being 5%+ more aggressive however…

Everybody’s talking about Musetti and what a great player he will be. It’s basically the same for Shapovalov: In tennis you will need the boring qualities to become a great player: consistency, reducing unforced errors, play according to tennis theory and reduce the amount of flashy (and high risk) plays. There are very few players that have both on an extremely high level. I think Musetti needs to realize this or his time might never come.

monteiro is a solid claycourter and is brazilian, it s not the end of the world that domi lost. He s never gonna be the thiem we knew again, which saddens me alot since he s my 2nd fave player but such is life full of dissapointments. Also musetti got fucking curvestomped, jarry is monstrous when his game clicks

So Happy for Jarry…looked promising before the injury…took out mussetti like no big deal..hope he can continue his comeback after the long injury..🙌💪

Musetti makes such a beautiful single-handed BH. Jarry was really on his game. For an opponent as big & tall as Jarry, something tells me Musetti didn’t turn the match into enough of a skirmish – instead of a hit-fest. imho you gotta try to make bigger stronger players uncomfortable, or there is going to be big trouble.

This kid Fonseca seems like a great player. He hit several 200+ kmh serves which is quite amazing. His strokes are also nice and he seems to have easy power. Molcan was too good on the day but I’d be looking forward to watching Fonseca play in the future.
