Congrats to Medvedev it’s really nice seeing him at this level again hopefully he gets more grand slams. Andy Murray’s comeback to tennis is honestly beautiful, his matches this year are just pure determination to stay on court and keep going, very inspiring
I was never the biggest Andy Murray fan , I always respected him obviously, but for some reason lately I’m loving him more than ever , just the Hustle and grind , and knowing he won’t be around in the tennis scene for to much longer , beautiful career
Tons of great and long rallies in this one. Incredible to see Andy playing such great tennis again, much respect for the man, what a fighter. And great to have Meddy back on form! Hope he can keep it up this year, it’s a joy watching him when he’s on his best.
He is back! Meddy is getting his confidence back, that was crushed by Rafa after the AO. And Sir Andy is definitely top 20 level now. Great to see!
Andy Murray was great this week. He’s a credit to the game. The obvious thing for him to work on is his first volley. He doesn’t do enough with it and guys are getting way to many second chances. The fact that he got to a final this week despite the weakness of his first volley is a testament to the strength of his total game and his conditioning.
How nice it was to see Andy in great shape at this tournament. Yes, he lost in the final. But the game is again beautiful and memorable.
Bear in mind that 4 years ago Andy didn’t even know if he was going to be able to walk without pain once he retired, which seemed imminent. Yet he’s still out there today, and after this week he’ll be knocking on the door of the top 50 again. Incredible fighting spirit, Murray is an ATG.
Even though Andy lost, he is clearly a better player than he was a year, or even six months ago. He’s generating pace more consistently on the forehand side, which has been the issue for most of his post-surgery career, and played a close match against the 2nd best hardcourt player in the world. I’d expect him to be seeded by the time Wimbledon comes around
Даня, ты снова в форме! Подача стала круче, теперь мне кажется нужно больше тренировать нападение и второй удар на приеме после на собственной подачи. Потому что пока что игра на своей подаче менее активна и агрессивна, чем на приеме. Поздравляю с победой и праздником!
By some reason, I was never be a big fan from Andy, but if there is something which always admired from him is his resilience for playing on the court, at this level, after living a lot of hard times where he was injured, proving himself mentally and physically.
That’s why means much for all those loving tennis, we can watch him yet, plus the amazing way in which he’s playing.
Bravo for Medvedev with a new victory this year and I hope he continues to win many more. On the other hand, Andy Murray’s deed is to be admired, his strong and tenacious mentality that he possesses is incredible and admirable at his age, it shows that he is hungry for victories and believe me if he continues like this, he will be in the top ten of the ATP world rankings and will probably win a GS and/or maybe a Master1000 and well deserved if he does. IMHO!
Wow, this was such a brilliant match! I was having so much fun watching it. Thank you, Tennis TV, and most of all to both players who left their all on the court.
Even though he lost, he created a lot of chances on Daniil’s serve. Andy should take a lot of positives from this week. He’s meeting Hubi in the first round in Dubai next week – let’s see how much he has left in the tank.

That backhand pass by Medvedev is UNREAL.
From several meters behind the baseline, on the stretch, he produces a quite frankly ridiculous crosscourt backhand that bounces halfway between the net and the service line.

Seeing Murray playing at such a consistent high quality level gives me hope that Dominic Thiem will come back strong sooner or later too!

That Andy is challenging the younger generation at his age and physical disabilities is by itself a tremendous achievement. By this level of play he displayed, he definitely belongs to the top 10.

Daniil is legendary, an amazing player back to his top levels. Murray on the other hand is a straight out legend period. Points wise this match was superbly close and incredibly impressive from both players. Honestly, this one could have gone either way.
Let’s appreciate this everyone. Two true gladiators.
