One of the biggest quality of Medvedev is his ability to adapt! He hated the courts because they were too slow but then he adapted well! He is so disciplined in his tennis that unless someone overpowers him it’s not easy to get away. Tiafoe has the home advantage and the crowd behind him. But none of these will matter when he plays against Medvedev. It will be all about how skillful he is and how mature he can be. Wish them both the best.
ADF looked great but Medvedev was just too solid. And I thought Norrie would be an easy write-in for the semis, but Big Foe played some big tennis. Really looking forward to this semi!
Даня красавчик, как виртуозно использует все теннисные приемы 🎉
Can’t wait for Meddy vs Big Foe!
Before the tournament I said: only the one man in Meddy’s half could stop him going to final and Rublev going to semis vs Meddy(but Andrey exited earlier 🤷♂️) and I was talking about Tiafoe! That guy on any given day, if he has his, at least, 90% of his potential that day, can outplay anybody Rafa, Nole, Tsitsipas- anyone! He like Wawrinka, discovered himself & his abilities to play great tennis late. But now at 25 he is in his peak form and I think it would last at least 4 years, so he maybe even will get one GS. As I said his potential is very high, he just has to convert it in wins in big tournaments!)
Meddy was clutch! Fokina is a nice dude too hope he can get highr in the rankings
Medvedev plays very well at the end of the court. Plus, his height is a problem with his opponent’s LOB play.
Norrie losing so easily to Tiafo was surprising considering Norrie beat Rublev so handily in the prior round!
Medvedev just finds a way to win!
Norrie is very nice guy. He signed and took pictures with everyone after his win yesterday. Feel bad to see him lose easily today.
I watched Foe v Norrie in its entirety and I was thoroughly impressed with Big Foe. Norrie is very dangerous and difficult to play against, yet, Tiafoe dismantled him with controlled aggression and percentage play.
The way Norrie played his previous match, I was not expecting him to lose to Tiafoe.
Congrats to Tiafoe, sorry for Norrie.
Congrats to Daniil on his amazing 2023 start, and I feel bad for Fokina because I really want him to some day win a big tournament.
It is beautiful to watch Frances hitting the ball so clean, and really attacking the way his game ment to be, looks like the Tiafoe from the USO
That second set of tennis with Med & Fok was remarkable. Fokina was better but Medi pulled a rabbit out of the hat.
Actually pulsating I don’t think a better set at this tournament.
Wow, Tiafoe really picked apart Norrie in this match. Impressive.
Injured meddy moving like that is scary because he’s got a great year ahead, wouldn’t want to injure himself now
Medvedev just couldn’t lose at the moment. Prime 🔥🔥🔥
Good to see Tiafo finally breaking through
Good win for Tiafoe. However he himself see that there are things he need to tighten up on.
So Happy for Big Foe let’s get it!
Med just always adapts and finds a way to win. It’s not the most elegant style of tennis, but is very effective and fascinating to watch. I’m anticipating an Alcaraz vs Medvedev final, which will be hugely difficult to predict (I hope Med wins, but suspect Alcaraz’s grit & sheer determination will see him over the line). Oh, and I think Med will beat Foe in 3 sets.
