Nishioka’s comeback win was amazing, but still good to recognize Atmane’s efforts. 6’4 kid with a huge lefty serve, great results in Challengers lately, this was his ATP tour debut! hopefully he learned from this match and we’ll see him on the tour again soon

Svrcina reminds me of a young gasquet but with a two hander. Kids got a very flashy game and is very athletic.

I like the last kid crafty play with gutsy plays.
He was able to frustrate his opponent with controlled slices to neutralize his powerful groundstrokes.
He actually lured his opponent a few times slicing to his forehand knowing his opponent would go cross court.

Nishioka has fighting spirit and calculated brain of a ninja. I thought he would be fading away after heavy lost first set, it is a happy surprise for me.

Svrcina seems really cool and I want to follow him after seeing that. Some of those shots were very well played and hopefully he can make some noise 🙂

its just the highlights, but in the first set, pretty much every point we watched nishioka was going crosscourt with his forehand, which is his go to way to play against righties. then after the first set, I dont think we saw a single point where nishioka went twice in a row to Atmane’s forehand haha. its just highlights, but it almost looked like nishioka didn’t even realize he was playing a lefty until he was double break down in the first haha. and then from there he didn’t want to give away his new gameplan so he tanked the rest of the set and got to work at the beginning of the second.

Svrcina made me think that maybe they were showing highlights from the Boys 14s tournament. I hope he finds success, because he could wind up “borrowing” one of my favorite sports nicknames: “Baby-Faced Assassin” (from boxer Marco Antonio Barrera)

These court(zhuahi, cgendou and bejiing) are very slow and Shanghai court is very fast, so this situation create a lot of confusion for the players

I have seen people expertly preddicting the outcomes of these matches but to be able to know the exact score is something else. Awakenbeerus is really out of this world. Does anyone know how does he pull this off?
