Naomi player extremely well. Both of them hit 30 aces and points was 101 to 100. Osaka should enter Sydney next week. She would be a force at Australian. She just needs matches.
Happy to see Naomi back on the tour. She’s playing solid tennis right out of the gate. Great match by both ladies. Things will only improve as Naomi gets her conditioning and match toughness back.

Pliskova served and looked better then I have seen since her Wimbledon final. Bravo! Great win from behind. Just cut down on those DF’s and she is a dark house for the AO. Osaka looked great too. She is back. No doubt about it.

Great win for Pliskova! This match was so close and Naomi was serving so well but Karolina’s serve was unstoppable, the win could’ve gone either way since Naomi won 100 points and Karolina won 101. I think Naomi will get better throughout 2024, and Karo might start to play better and get wins in.
Pliskova played great, her serve and forehand were vintage

Extremely close and Naomi will be buoyed by this. If she strings a few wins together and gains confidence…she will be really dangerous. Her style of play doesn’t leave room for indecision from opponents.
