This win makes Alcaraz no.6 in the world. Think about that. He was no.120 a year ago. Totally incredible.

Damn we’ll surely remember this Nadal – Alcaraz match as one of those generational matches that changed the career of these future grand slam champs

We get it, the Carlos vs Novak match coming, but man, Tsitsipas vs Zverev match should be fireworks, too.
Amazing semis.
Sorry for your loss, Rafael.

Very rare that you see Nadal lose a match with a genuine smile on his face. We’ll deserved win for Alcaraz!

It’s good to see Tsitsipas got through Rublev on this hard clay court, it could possibly give him more confidence. But it can also be totally different from Monte Carlo when facing Zverev on this special surface.

Since I’m Tsitsi’s fan I just hope Novak might stop this phenomenon.
It’s crazy when you have far more better chances to win any of the Big 3 than this, out of this world, Grand Master Carlos!

If not for that nasty fall which hurt alcaraz in ankle & wrist, ultimately hampering him for half an hour or so; this match would have the Scoreline of first & third set only.

Alcatraz defeating Nadal, IMO, will be seen as a watershed moment in tennis. This kid is poised to be the future #1 and will likely takeover from the big three and will dominate for years to come on all surfaces.

Oh my God! Has anyone ever seen Nadal having a smile on his face after losing a match? And Carlos out-Nadal’ed Nadal in some of these points.

Nadal has been out for awhile, and it’s amazing to see him play at this level. Congrats to both for putting in a great game! Nadal loss will just make him play better next time. Alcaraz is amazing, but Nadal’s dominance is far from over.

Of all the tournaments in the clay season,Madrid was always a nightmare for Nadal especially if not at his best,Djokovic’s going back on shape,I don’t believe this kid will beat both Nadal and Djokovic in the same tournament even if he actually can,Zverev and Tsitsipas is playing well,so come on kid win the tournament if you THAT good like everyone’s saying, the new Sampras,Agassi or whatever.

As a Medwed33fan, when that ankle injury happened I thought Carlitos was done. Amazing resolve by him in the 3rd set.

As I said, do not write off zverev, this is zverev, every year he will have a down moment and come back in form and win big titles, let’s not forget he is the defending champion as well! Don’t just judge him on his recent form or hate him cz you don’t like him, you know his best tennis is yet to come! When it comes, no one can stop him trust me except for alcaraz i think😜😜that guy is on another level atm.

Wow, that Alcaraz! Here’s hoping he can retain that youthful hunger and his phenomenal quickness and anticipation for many years to come

The Alcaraz-Nadal match was very strange, rafa was made a lot of mistakes and Alcaraz was bothered by his fall…
It was a really strange match!

What a day for Alcaraz !
A change of baton from past generation to new, it looks on cards !
He was confident to come back & beat King of Clay on clay after badly twisting his ankle & losing 20 of 22 points in second set.
A future multiple GS champion !
VAMOS CARLOS !

The match I’ve been waiting for all year. Alcaraz has a ‘Nadalness’ to his game that is very tough to quantify. I love that he didn’t blink at match point like so many others against Nadal on clay. The king is dead, long live the king. 👑
