As unfortunate as it is to watch Nadal lose, you can’t but be blown away by just how brilliant Coric was this match! He was an absolute powerhouse! 💪💪
Interesting to see Murray have such a clear strategy of net attacks and drop shots against Murray. It did make it seem though that he wanted to keep the points short because he didn’t want to grind it out. Norrie so tough if the match gets longer. In the Kyrgios match, Nick looked like he didn’t want to be there.
Really enjoyed watching this match. It’s true, even the commentators noted this, players that seem to do well against Nadal have really strong back hands, like Djokovic or Coric. It was a very back-and-forth match. It’s strange when you watch the highlights cause you only see the best points, but there were a lot of mistakes done in this match, born I was only able to get in about 50% of his first service, which definitely made him struggle a bit. I certainly think this match would’ve been a lot different on clay, because Nadal’s Spin is so much more effective on clay. All in all the super enjoyable match and very close .
