Shapo is regaining so much confidence after a very tough period. So happy for him
Shapo’s backhand is so, so, so good. He’s overcome a lot of the weaknesses most one handers encounter; we really struggle to hit good cross court angles on the run or take high balls at the back, but Shapo can rip them off the back foot. His swing is compact so he can half volley from mid-court on the approach and have tons of time. It’s unreal. Thiem’s is better when he has time but Shapo is so, so good on the run. Maybe it’s because he’s a lefty and has had people hitting hard forehands to his backhand side his whole life lol
Hard to put into words how good Medvedev was playing.
I think it’s safe to say Meddy’s game is back to 2021 levels. He’s insane, playing against opponents who are playing great tennis in their own right and Medvedev just beats them like it’s nothing. Hope he can bring his form in the bigger tournaments and against bigger opponents
Shapo is slowly learning to control his game and take more time on balls. Confident win for him. Thrilling final coming up!
Medvedev’s recovery and angle switching should be studied as a tennis course
Medvedev is a absolute monster. He faced 1 break point in 3 games. Imagine what kind of player he would be if he would be able to play like that at every tournament.
I hope Dadvedev wins the tournament in order to re-build confidence for Paris and the ATP finals a player of this caliber is needed in the competition 🔥
Shapo’s backhand is really taking nice shape. Using it with more control and choosing his moments instead of bashing every ball.
I was watching this live on court, even though Grigor was the crowd favorite, Daniil was exceptionally brilliant! Cheering for him and he didn’t disappoint:) And lastly, that first set between Borna and Denis was spectacular- I fell for Denis’ powerful forehand
Medvedev is just a wall. Amazing movement with his length
Grigor and Borna both played very well this week 👏👏👍🏾👍🏾. Hopefully this propels them into next season

Dialed in Meddy is the best hard court player on the tour. He is just outstanding! He can’t solve Rafa yet but has figured out everyone else on the surface.
Meddy is so good at attacking the slice. Basically neutralized all of dimi’s defensive tactics and made him pay for it.
I thought Coric might run out of gas after his last two matches, but didn’t expect the bagel.
Also – Medvedev is Madvedev in this tournament, seems to be unbeatable.
Medvedev in aggressive form, very beatable. Medvedev in defensive form very tough to beat
Dimitrov made a mistake trying to play long rallies with Medvedev. Baseline exchanges is what Medvedev excels at
I will be cheering for Medvedev like crazy tomorrow.
Medvedev played very well. He put Dimitrov under so much pressure from the get-go.
