Novak up a set and a break?? And lost?! Holy. Very very rare. Only on clay i suppose. He played well. Musetti really stepped it up
I love that Musetti doesn’t have that annoying fist pump on every single point won.
Well even in a loss Novak is so so competitive right the way through and it was no surprise that he dropped his focus after that call given the close calls has rattled his focus a bit in past too.
He does control it very well more often than not and does not let these moments slip in Grand slams especially but gave it away slightly cheaply today.
Don’t take anything away from Musettit though as he has always impressed me on clay.I doubt he can go the whole way though as some tough players are to follow next.
He’s very good on clay. Remember when he beat Alcaraz in the German Final ladt year. Reminds me of how much more of a threat Matteo Berrettini becomes on grass. These Italian specialists and their surfaces 🤔
