Was rooting for vdZ after his amazing match yesterday, but that was a hell of a choke and a great fight back from Rune
I was sure Rune was not going to lift that trophy today. I was so wrong. That victory speaks of so much determination to win. Not thinking about the scoreline, just believing that he could still win this match today. That is top notch mental fortitude. He saw that Botic was shaky, and so used all his guile, and kept his head on to get it to a tiebreak, and simply went for it.
Choke of the year, so far, goes to Botic. That must be a tough loss.

Botic is a great player. Choking can happen to anyone, especially when it’s about winning the first ATP title in your career. Well done to Rune and hope that BVZ can bounce back soon.
