I’m very happy when “normal” tennis players have great results: kudos to Mr Struff and Mr Karatsev…you deserve this! Great job 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Struff and Karatsev played in qualifiers and Karatsev defeated him. Struff entered in main draw as lucky looser and now they play in semis 🤯

Watching Karatsev play is just a show brute force… he s definitely one of dark horses on tour

Great win for Struff 👏👏. Stephano needs to get it together soon. Glad to see Karatsev play like he’s capable of,again!! Fingers crossed that it lasts 🤞🤞

Tsitsipas’ losses are a constant reminder of the need to have a more complete game against solid players. These highlights show him protecting his weaker wing ie the backhand by constantly leaning into that corner to try to find the forehand – leaving an open court. Shot tolerance on the backhand needs work, too – in high pressure moments, it becomes a mishit off of that wing. Lots for him and his team to think about if he wants to break what looks like a plateau in his game.

Great to see karatsev playing well, confidently again. This is the form he used to beat Djokovic last year

One of the best matches Struff has ever played. Held his nerve at the start of the 3rd after double faulting the break away to lose the 2nd and also held it together at the end. Not to mention the first set when things got very tight. Saved a set point and took his first opportunity. And he only had 1 break point all match…early in set 3…and converted it. And saved 9 out of 10 break points faced.

The lucky loser is into the SEMIS and plays Karatsev. What an opportunity for them, a chance for a first M1000 final for Karatsev and Struff and a chance for the winner to play Alcaraz if he beats Coric tomorrow. Loved the expanded 96 player draw here. Opened up a lot of opportunity for more players and my god they are taking advantage. Love to see it.

And if Coric beats Alcaraz, this becomes an amazing story for someone. Coric has struggled to win matches lately. Surely he, Karatsev and Struff was on NOBODY’s radar at the start of this tournament.

I watched Struff in the Phoenix Challenger when he was playing Bublik, and I was wishing that him or Bublik play a big final soon. Now Struff is playing karatsev in the semis tmrw. Good luck to Struff!

Every time a top ten player loses against a lower ranked player its immediately called a “choke”. You guys need to accept that Tsitsipas was just outmatched by Struff this time. Hate to see it when Struffs performance gets belittled in this way…

I have to give credits to Tsitsipas sportsmanship. Seeing him being so graceful in a loss is surely wonderful to see.

J.L. Struff is going to get the top ten at the end of this season, me say. Very very smart into the rally, huge on serve, moving well, sharp forehand, defense.
