I’m so sad that I missed this live, what a first-round matchup.
Highlights can‘t give this match justice. So many great Points in this Match. Just happy to see Dominic produce tennis like this again, the beast is still living in him and has woken up yesterday.
What a tough draw for Tsitsipas, facing Thiem and Murray in the first and second round
Very tough loss for Thiem as this would have been the exact confidence boost he needed right now. Losing to Tsitsipas twice in row in a final set tiebreak is not an easy pill to swallow.
To be fair, I think Tsitsipas was indeed a tiny bit better but still this could have gone either way.
Such a top class performance from Thiem till the very end. Hopefully he has a good hard court season.
So nice to see one handed backhands from both players. It takes me back to 1990s era of serve and volleyers who are mostly one hand backhanders.

Skip the stats for each individual set, just show them at the end of the match. Instead, show us the handshake and every set point.
Tsitsipas has become a completely different, much, much more mature player last year. I hated him for his behaviour on court at first, but now he is so calm and disciplined, credit where credit is due. Also a touch of class, not excessively celebrating because he knows this match could have gone either way, and is heartbreaking for Thiem. Did not expect this transformation.
Thiem fue el único q se le plantó al big3 de su generación. Lamentablemente tuvo esa lesión y parece que luego perdió las ganas de competir. Una lastima ya q era un jugador formidable con una potencia bestial.

Very close match. Biggest difference is the unforced errors from Dom. If he can raise his level just a bit more to reduce those errors, then he’ll back pretty much back.

Can’t help but think how the rain delay did so much good for tsitsipas. He looked dreadful on the first day.

These two always put on a show. Absolutely ridiculous how this match wasn’t on one of the main courts whereas Murray’s match was. It’s these guys who deserved to get an uninterrupted match in front of a full crowd. Wimbledon should be ashamed of themselves. Was rooting for Thiem in this match but will definitely be behind Tsitsipas in the next one.
