what Medvedev told to Sascha at the net is: “sorry, I got lucky in some moments, sorry, sorry, good luck in your next game”
Sascha at the same time replied with just: “well done”

Zverev was so close… But I feel like he is getting more agressive and that he is playing better though. Congrats to Medvedev, rock solid !

Rewatching some of Rublev’s highlights and it’s sad how stressed he looked out there. You gotta feel for him, cause idk what’s worse the beating from Medvedev or the Alcaraz collapse.

Medvedev achieved more points on his serve and on return, in total 72:64 so well deserved. I’m absolutely delighted about Medvedev’s defensive work, he’s often capable to return the unreturnable to a magnificent point, that set’s him on top with Djokovic and Alcaraz in this ranking.

Zverev choked that tiebreak so hard. Medvedev didn’t really play a particularly good tiebreak, just let Zverev fall apart. Two missed volleys, and on set point he missed a first ball forehand into the bottom of the net! On another set point he missed a relatively easy forehand return.

A perfect match day. Alcaraz, Meddy wins in straight.

I know it’s complicated, but I explain you as easy as I can

Moment Standing:
Medvedev 4-0 (100%) 2
Zverev 2-3 (40%) 1
Alcaraz 3-2 (60%) 1

Alcaraz only needs a WIN over Medvedev, in 2 or 3. Both he is in the Semis.

– If Alcaraz wins straight, Zverev in straight:
1. Alcaraz 5-2 (71) 2
2. Meddy 4-2 (67) 2
– – –
3. Zverev 4-3 (57) 2

– If Alcaraz wins in 3, Zverev in straight:
1. Meddy 5-2 (71) 2
2. Alcaraz 5-3 (67) 2
– – –
3. Zverev 4-3 (57) 2

❗ATP FINALS rules of 3 players are had same points
1. Number of matches
2. Number of wins
3. Percentage of the Sets
4. Percentage of the Games
5. ATP Ranking

Zverev can’t do anything, he must ONLY hope a Meddy win.

Excited to watch this era closing in. They are still a way off from the big 3 but they play some really good tennis, though alcarez is still my fave cus he has such a wide choice of shots and he is super talented

Tough one for Sascha, had some good chances in that first set tie break. Daniil has been his kryptonite this year 😅

How did Meddy win that tiebreak after 1-4? Btw his forehand really improves a lot, having more firepower. Congrats, Meddy.

My gut says the final is between Sinner and Medvedev. With Sinner winning in 3 sets.

My mind says Medvedev will win, going by the fact, he’s lost several finals since the US open.

Normally, i would pick Djokovic. But after the Paris final, i think he’s done for the season…he looks a little weary. If he does pull out a win, it will cement the superhuman status in my mind.

May the best man win.

Medvedev is in scary form right now this tournament…I think either he or Sinner will win it all. Such great tennis already in this ATP World Tour Finals!
