Struff is playing out of his skin, he needs to clinch his maiden title. It being a home title adds that little extra pleasure to that victory.

Struff was just spanking that ball! Those were some of the fastest forehands I’ve seen this season.

Struff bringing out last year’s Madrid form and then some, just in time for his upcoming Madrid finalist defence. What a performance!!

STRUFFI! FINALLY! That guy finally woke up and remembered that good, old, pure Wawrinka-style power tennis he is capable to play. Let’s keep fingeres crossed, that he keeps that spirit in tomorrows final. He is 33 and wont have that much possibilites to win a ATP tournament .

When someone at 33 years old is playing like that at the Federer level, you wonder why he hasn’t been able to consistently do that in the last 15 years because he obviously has the talent.

I love the Munich tournament highlights. The sound of the ball being hit is soft, the camera perspective is very good, and the stands are so intimate.

Struff just played one of the best matches on the men’s tour in the last year. Jaw on the floor kind of stuff. Made Rune look like he was in junior high.

The crowd sitting there in chilly temperatures…should be watching an ice hockey game 😂

Much respect for Struff coming back all the way from playing challenger and getting to this outstanding level. I really hope he gets the title.

I saw the score and thought Rune was hurt or something. Can’t believe Struff was hitting like that

Rune really needed another dimension to his game today. Either higher and loopier or hit harder. All his groundstrokes were perfect pace and height for Struff to tee off on.

I always wondered why JLS has never reached the top 10. He has a great serve, one of the best forehands on tour when he is on, and a pretty decent ROS for such a big player. His backhand is weak in comparison, but has a wicked sliced BH which is useful in faster surfaces. Also, I’d say his net game is at least above average. Court coverage and shot tolerance are in my opinion the weaker parts of his game, but he should be able to past by them since he is way more dangerous when his foot is on the gas pedal.

He is one of the few guys on tour able to outplay focused Alcaraz for long stretches of a match as we saw in Madrid a couple seasons ago. Also, his windup isn’t that long, shouldn’t be as hindering as it was for other big power baseliners.

I don’t know, looks like it’s always been a consistency issue with JLS, because he is game when he plays his best tennis.

Love watching Struff play, he always brings his brand of attacking tennis no matter what the surface is. I like how he serves and volleys on clay, though it’s odd to see someone dominate on clay without using the drop shot very often (if at all?).
